Sardine Lake Overview

Sardine Lake Campground has 27 campsites and is located on the banks of Salmon Creek in the North Yuba River Area. It is also close to the beautiful Sardine Lakes. and close to Sardine Lakes. The 27 campsites are rather small and cramped, but the ca p in a great location right under the Sierra Buttes with lots of fishing nearby. Most of the campsites are good for tent camping, some would handle a small trailer. Tall lodgepole pines provide shade to most campsites. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring/grill and food locker. All roads and campsite parking pads are paved. The campground has vault toilets and drinking water. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, backpacking, hunting, horseback riding, gold panning and wildlife viewing. Boating (with boat rentals), a general store and restaurant are located a few miles from the campground.
Other campgrounds in the area include Chapman Creek, Lakes Basin, Salmon Creek, Yuba Pass and Wild Plum.
