Sheep Creek Overview
Sheep Creek Campground has 111 campsites and is located in Kings Canyon National Park along the Middle Fork of the Kings River. The campground is generally open late spring through early fall.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a parking spur, table, food storage locker, fire ring and grate. Hookups are not available.
The seasonal campground is usually open mid May to mid October. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets and trash collection (dumpsters). Generators are allowed from 9am to 9pm. Overflow camper parking is also available. The nearest dump station (summer only) is over at Princess Campground along Highway 180. Cell service is not available.
Sheep Creek Campground – Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. A restaurant, showers and laundry facilities are also available at nearby Cedar Grove Village.
Other campgrounds in the area include Sentinel, Moraine, Canyon View Group and Convict Flat.

Hi, could you please suggest the best campsites in Sheep’s Creek that would fit a 15×12 tent? Thank you!! The recreation.gov doesn’t list the tent pad sizes.
Can you recommend site not far from the river? We were going to book site 12, but it is not available. Looking on sites 14 and 16 , wanted to know your opinion. 2 adults and 3 kids (11-15 y.o)

The campsites closest to the river include 10, 11, 12, 56, 57, 59, 62, 64, 65 and 101. Of those are favorites are 10, 12, 56, 59, 62, 64 and 65.
