Tunnel Mills Group Overview

Tunnel Mills Group Campground has two group sites and is located near the East Fork of the North Fork American River in Tahoe National Forest. The East Fork is more like a creek.

The two group sites can accommodate up to 30 people and 6 vehicles per site. Site #1 is for tent and RV camping. Site #2 is for tent camping only. Each site also has a vault toilet, food storage lockers, tables, BBQ pedestals, fire rings and grills. Potable (drinking) water is not available. Cell service is also not available.

Tunnel Mills Group Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing (Rainbow Trout), hiking, mountain biking, hunting, OHV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Stargazing is also great.

North Fork Campground  and Onion Valley Campground are also nearby.
