Hinman Campground Colorado

Hinman Overview

Hinman (Park) Campground has 13 single-family campsites and is located near Elk River in the Routt National Forest.  It is also 22 miles north of Steamboat Springs, Colorado and is a gateway to the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness along the Elk River Corridor.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. The primitive campground is first-come, first- serve and usually open early June through October. Amenities include two vault toilets (no water available). Cell service is also not available in the area.

Hinman Park – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, ATVing and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also good in the area.
