One Mile Overview

One Mile 003

One Mile Campground has 25 campsites and is located in beautiful Taylor Canyon. Taylor River is also on the other side of the highway from the campground.

The campground is generally open early June to early October. Most campsites have good shade from lodgepole pine and aspen trees. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (30 to 45 feet). Sites 5, 21 and 22 are ADA. Eighteen of the campsites have electric hookups and can be reserved. The other sites are standard and first-come, first serve. Amenities include potable water and 2 vault toilets. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host.

Other campgrounds in the area include North Bank, Rosy Lane, Lottis Creek, Lodgepole, Almont and Lakeview.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, ATVing, picnicking, hunting, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. You can also kayak or raft the river during good water flow.
