Some sites flood during high tide. During first week of May 2016 a high tide of 6.5 feet put the entire road in front of sites 34, 35 and 36 and one side of 37 UNDER salt water. Sites 15 and 16 are the same, in another area of park. I would not recommend a tent on these sites at 6 foot tide. Other than high tide these are premo sites. There is a small warning on reserve america website , and a convenient link to the tide tables…but they don’t tell you at what level of high tide the site floods. I found it a problem over 6 feet for site 36. Pull though Site 37 would be ok if you entered from the boat ramp side, so you could exit out the other side where the road is not under water. BUT site 37 did have salt water up on the wheels of the RV. Site 16 has the best sunsets….hey and you can “kayak” right from your site at high enough tide…what’s not to like .
