Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park Overview

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park Campground has 45 single family (mixed-used) campsites with with water & electric hookups.  Most of the sites have nice shade from large oak trees. There are also 5 cabins to rent and 2 primitive group camping areas available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The campground is open year round. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, hot-water showers ($), trash collection and a dump station. The park also has an amphitheater, gift shop, museum, laundry, picnic area, and ranger station. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host.

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park – Area Recreation

The Stephen Foster Museum and Carillon Tower features exhibits and dioramas from Stephen Fosters songs as well as a display of antique pianos. The Carillon Tower is also home to the worlds largest tubular bell instrument, constructed and installed in 1957. The tower rings out Fosters tunes in scheduled concerts throughout the day.

Other outdoor activities include hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, visiting the historic sites, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
