A. H. Stephens State Park is best known for its equestrian facilities and campsites, but it also has campsites for tents/trailers and RVs, as well as 4 cottages and group camping. You’ll enjoy a nice variety of outdoor activities available including boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, paddle boating, geocaching, hiking, biking, horseback riding, horseshoes, volleyball, wildlife viewing and camping. Bike and boat rentals are also available.

A. H. Stephens State Park campground has drinking water, laundry, sanitary dump station, flush toilets and hot showers. Electric hookups are available. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.

The home of A. H. Stephens is on the property as well as a Confederate Museum with one of the best collections of Civil War artifacts in Georgia.

Hamburg State Park is about 35 miles to the south and has 35 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs.

Directions:

Located 2 miles north of I-20 off Exit #148 (Hwy. 22). Turn right at the junction of Hwy 22 and Hwy 278. Turn left at the traffic light. Go 2 blocks, turn left, then make an immediate right. Follow signs to park office. If RV is taller than 12' 10", exit at #148 travel 2 miles and go across junction of Hwy 22 and Hwy 278. Turn right onto MLK, Jr. Dr. NW. Go 1 mile , turn left onto Alexander Street. Follow signs to park office.
