Black Rock Mountain State Park Overview
Black Rock Mountain State Park Campground is located in Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains and has 44 developed RV campsites (hookups), 12 walk-to campsites and 10 cottages. There are also 4 backcountry sites and 1 pioneer campground.
The RV sites have electric hookups and can accommodate trailers and RVs from 20 to 40 feet. The cottages are either 2 or 3 bedrooms and can sleep from 6-8 people. Bedding and linens are provided in each cottage. They also have a microwave, oven, AC/heat, cable TV, dishwasher, refrigerator, pots/pants, dishes, BBQ grill, a fireplace and porch.
Campground amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, showers, laundry facilities, trash collection and a sewage dump station. Wifi is also available at the visitor center and cottages. The park has a visitor center, playground, picnic areas, fishing lake and mixed use trails. Cell service is not available in the area.

Stayed here for 2 days April 4 and 5. If we had some way of checking this place we wouldn’t have driven up the very steep and winding road. That was okay but the sites are extremely close to each other and the road thru the campground was even closer. The brush from branches were scratching up the side of our camper and truck. Hard to back in to the sites. Couldn’t get to the dump site either. A nice clean campground, bathrooms were old and the laundry room was’ nt very clean and only had one working washer out of two. Very bad storm 1st nite with heavy rain all nite and the next nite it was windy and gusty around 50 to 60 mph winds.
