Mckaskey Creek Overview

McKaskey Creek Campground has 51 campsites and is located in a forested area on the shores of beautiful lake Allatoona Lake. There are 31 with water & electric hookups (50 amp), 19 standard sites (no hookups) and 1 handicapped accessible site with water and electric hookups.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a paved parking spur, table, fire ring and charcoal grill.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection and a dump station. There’s also a boat ramp, swim beach, play area and camp host that sells firewood. Cell coverage is good in the area.

You might also like Upper Stamp Creek, Clear Creek North, McKinney or Old Highway 41 No 3 campgrounds (also next to Allatona Lake).

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking and wildlife viewing.

The city of Catersville is nearby, offering restaurants, shopping, and a historic downtown area. Historic sites like the Etowah Indian Mounds and Booth Western Art Museum are also nearby.
