Buffalo Campground has 121 campsites and is located on the banks of the Buffalo River 26 miles south of West Yellowstone. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. The campground has 50 of the 121 campsites that are reservable. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.  The C-loop (c1-c19) campsites have electric hookups. Group camping is also available (E-loop).

The campground has drinking water, flush toilets and trash collection. Cell service is good in the area.

Buffalo Campground – Area Recreation

Visitors love the area for its world-class fishing, scenery and wildlife viewing.  Outdoor recreation includes fishing, fly fishing, biking, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, canoeing, kayaking, tubing and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also great in the area.

You may also be interested in Riverside campground (about 13 miles south). Harriman State Park is also nice.

      The per night rates range from $20 to $52 per night depending on the campsite. You can click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button to check availability, pricing and make a reservation at Buffalo campground.
