Grouse Overview

Grouse Campground has 21 spacious campsites and is located in a Spruce and Lodgepole Pine forest along the shores of Goose Lake. Goose Creek also flows past the campground. Many campsites have great views of the lake.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a paved parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. Parking spurs range in length from 35ft to 50ft. Up to 2 vehicles and 10 people are allowed per site.

The campground is open seasonally early June to mid September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water (pump), vault toilets and trash collection (dumpsters). Firewood is available for sale from the camp host. A boat ramp is also adjacent to the campground. The lake has a “no-wake” restriction but motorized use is okay. Cell service is fair in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating (no-wake), canoeing, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Last Chance, Upper Payette Lake and Hazard Lake.
