Massasoit State Park Overview

Massasoit State Park Campground has 84 campsites (50 w/electric hookups) in a forested area in southeastern New England. The park includes 1,200 wooded acres with 6 lakes and ponds. There are also 16 miles of mixed-use trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are 50 sites with electric hookups. Nine of the sites are tent only. Group camping is also available.  All of the sites also have a parking spur, table, BBQ pedestal, fire ring and grill.  Parking spurs range in length from 20 to 40 feet.

Campground amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, hot-water showers and trash collection. The park also has a boat ramp, picnic / day use area, and playground (with a zip line). Cell service is good in the area.

Massasoit State Park – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor activities include boating (non-motorized), kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, picnicking and cross-country skiing.

This is an especially nice park to visit in the fall, when you can see the contrast of scarlet cranberry bogs and pine trees. Visitors can also visit the historic towns and museums in the area.

You might also like Watson Pond State Park or Ellis Haven campgrounds.
