Cobscook Bay State Park Overview

Cobscook Bay State Park campground has 106 single-family (mixed-used) campsites, many of which border the sheltered inlet of Whiting Bay and Broad Cove. Group camping is also available.

The seasonal campground is usually open mid-May to mid-October. Campground amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, hot-water showers ($), trash collection (dumpsters) and an RV dump station. There’s also a playground, boat launch, picnic area and shelters and trash recycling.

Campsites are suitable for tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grate.

The Park offers a great base for family camping and explorations in easternmost Maine. The wildlife-rich waters of Cobscook Bay surround this 888-acre park on three sides, providing opportunities to watch birds and observe the ebb and flow of the region’s impressive tides. Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
