Fort Ridgely State Park Overview

Fort Ridgely State Park Campground has 39 single-family campsites (15 w/electric hookups) and is located close to the historic fort and museum. There are also 3 walk-to, 1 group, and 25 equestrian.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers ($) and trash collection. There is also a picnic shelter, playground, volleyball, horseshoes, a 9-hole golf course and amphitheater. Firewood is also available for sale at the park office. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grate. Hammock permitted sites include 7, 21, 25, 27, 33 and 37.

Fort Ridgely State Park – Area Recreation

Fort Ridgely State Park features the historic outpost. In addition to the fort’s ruins, there is a museum and cemetery to visit and learn about Minnesota’s early history regarding this conflict. The Park also offers plenty of outdoor recreation including a 9-hole golf course, hiking, bike riding, horseback riding, fishing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and wildlife viewing.
