Savanna Portage State Park Overview
Savanna Portage State Park Campground has 61 single-family campsites (18 w/electric hookups) and is locate next to Shumway Lake. A camper cabin, 6 backpack sites, 1 canoe site and group camping (up to 30 people) are also available to rent.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 55 feet). Each site also has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush & vault toilets, showers, a dump station and trash collection (dumpsters). Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. A boat ramp is also near the campground. Generators are okay, but not during quiet hours (1opm to 8am). Cell service is poor in the area.
Area Recreation & Activities
The Park has several lakes, over 26 miles of hiking trails and 10 miles of mountain bike trails. Popular activities include boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Boat rentals are available (during summer months). There’s also a playground, volleyball court and horseshoe pits. Canoe rentals are also available during the summer season.

We have a reservation at Savannah portage sate park. McGregor Mn
We have been trying to get a hold of someone there No one is contacting us or our 3 different friends trying to help us by reaching out to find out about a closure in the park during the time of our reservation! Why can’t they even return a call to me?! I am so frustrated 😩
