Crowder State Park Overview
Crowder State Park has 41 spacious campsites (most with electric hookups) set in a forested area in northern Missouri. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. A few sites are designated for larger families.
The seasonal campground is usually open early March to late November. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection (dumpsters) and an RV dump station. There’s also a playground and you can rent kayaks, canoes and paddle-boards at the park office. Firewood and ice are also available to purchase from the friendly camp host.
Crowder State Park – Area Recreation
The 1,912 acre Park also has an 18-acre lake for fishing and boating, a few large picnic areas, a playground, tennis court, archery range, biking and wildlife viewing. There’s also 17 miles of hiking, mountain biking and equestrian trails that will take you through forests and meadows.
If you’re heading south, you may want to check out Van Meter State Park as well.

Can you rent boats, canoes etc?

Yes – You can rent kayaks, canoes and standup paddleboards at the park office.
Do you have to pay to put your own kayaks on the lake??

You don’t have to pay a fee to launch/use your kayak on Crowder Lake.
