Fish Creek Overview

Fish Creek campground is the second largest campground in the Glacier National Park with 178 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs located in a heavily forested area.  Many campsites have views of Lake McDonald. Each campsite also has a parking spur, table, fire ring, grate and food storage locker. Parking spurs range in length from 14 to 30 feet with most on the smaller side (18 to 24 feet).

The seasonal campground is usually open mid June to late September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, trash collection (dumpsters) and an amphitheater with nightly park-ranger lead programs in the summer evenings. There’s also an RV dump station at the campground. Cell service is poor in the area.

Fish Creek – Glacier National Park Area Recreation

The campground is located just off the Camas Road approximately 2.5 miles from Apgar Village on the west side of Glacier National Park. It is a great location for hiking many of the trails in the area. You can also enjoy fishing, picnicking, biking, swimming and wildlife viewing.
