Jo Bonner Campground Canyon Ferry Lake Montana

Jo Bonner Overview

Jo Bonner Campground has 17 spacious campsites located at the Northeastern end of Canyon Ferry Reservoir; 30 miles east of Helena, Montana.

The campground is generally open early May to mid September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is good in the area.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 55 feet). Each site has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. There is also a gravel boat launch with a courtesy dock located just outside of the campground.

Jo Bonner Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Canyon Ferry Reservoir offers a wide range of year-round recreational opportunities. Water related activities include everything from swimming and fishing to sailing and motor-boating. Canoeists and kayakers explore the many quiet backwater bays. Jet skiers, windsurfers and water skiers skim the summer waves, while winter draws ice fishermen, ice boaters and ice skaters.

Other campgrounds in the area include Chinamen’s, Court Sheriff, Riverside and Hellgate.
