Deep Creek campground has 92 well-maintained campsites and is next to one of the most popular creeks in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The campground has 42 tent-only (walk-in) sites, and another 50 campsites for RV and tent use. Most campsites are wooded and have plenty of shade. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. The campground has drinking water, flush toilets, a dump station and picnic area. There are also many trails to hike from the campground. And you can do some nice tubing in the creek!

Deep Creek – Area Recreation

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most visited in the United States with 8-10 million enjoying the many outdoor recreational activities throughout the park. It’s a very popular destination for hiking, backpacking and fishing.  Some of the outdoor recreation opportunities at Great Smoky Mountains National Park include: auto touring, bicycling, camping, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and picnicking. There are also many historic sites and buildings you can explore in the area.

Elkmont  and Cosby are other nice campgrounds in the area. It’s about 50 miles to the north and has 220 mixed-used campsites.
