Findley State Park Campground Ohio

Findley State Park Overview

Findley State Park campground has 257 campsites set in a heavily wooded area next to Findley Lake in northeast Ohio. It’s also about 21 miles south (as the crow flies) from Lake Erie.

The large family-friendly campground offers two camping areas — one with a mix of full-service, electric and non-electric campsites, and the other will all primitive campsites — all in a shady setting. There are 19 sites with full hookups, 91 sites with electric hookups and 151 standard (non-electric) sites.  There is also 3 camper cabins (sleep 4) and 2 primitive group sites (up to 40 people capacity for each site).

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grill.  Campground amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, laundry facilities, trash collection and a dump station. Cell service is good in the area. Firewood and other supplies are also available to purchase from the camp store.  There’s also a playground, 2 horseshoe pits, a gaga ball pit, disc golf course, basketball and volleyball courts.

Findley State Park – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation includes boating (paddle and boats with electric motors), fishing, disc golf hiking, mountain biking, hunting, swimming, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Visitors can also enjoy ice skating, ice fishing and cross-country skiing in the winter.

You might also like Geneva State Park to the north (by Lake Erie), or Mt. Gilead State Park to the south.
