Blue Pool Overview

Blue Pool Campground has 24 campsites set in a beautiful old growth forest along Salt Creek in the Willamette National Forest. Campsites 3, 4, 6 and 7 are walk-to / tent only (about 50 to 200 feet from parking area). A few double-family sites are also available.

The campground is generally open mid May to late September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection (dumpsters). A large picnic area is also located along the creek. Cell service is poor in the area.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a gravel parking spur, table, fire ring and grill.

Other campgrounds in the area include Salmon Creek Falls, Packard Creek, Blair Lake and Sand Prairie.

Blue Pool Campground – Area Recreation and Activities

Outdoor recreation includes fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

One-half mile east of the campground on Highway 58 is the McCredie Day Use Area & Hot Springs. The site was formally developed as a hot springs resort but is currently unimproved.
