Elk Lake Overview

Elk Lake Bathroom

Elk Lake Campground has 20 delightful campsites located in a conifer forest, and on a hill above the lake in the Deschutes National Forest. The sites are relatively small (trailers/RVs up to 30 feet) and 4 are for tent only.

Campground amenities include drinking water and a vault toilet. A boat ramp is also located within the campground. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. Cell service is good in the area.

Elk Lake Area Recreation

The area and lake offers some nice fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, windsurfing and other water sport activities. You can also enjoy, picnicking, hiking and horseback riding (bring your own horse).

Other campgrounds in the area you may also be interested in include: Little Fawn, South – Hosmer Lake, Point, Mallard Marsh, Soda Creek and Quinn Meadow Horse Camp.

  1. Hi! Does site 15 have enough room for two 4 person tents? Or one 6 person tent?
    Also, is there overflow parking if we have two vehicles?
