Mazama Village Overview

Mazama Village Campground has 214 campsites and is located 7 miles south of Rim Village in Crater Lake National Park. The campground is open only during the summer, with reservations available in July, August and September.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers (up to 35 feet) and RVs (up to 50 feet / 18 have electric hookups). Each campsite also has a parking spur, food storage locker, table, fire ring, and grill. Campsites can accommodate up to 8 people and 2 vehicles.

The campground is seasonal and usually open early July to late September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection (dumpsters) and an RV dump station. Laundry facilities, a general store, restaurant, gas station, an amphitheater and visitor center are also located within the park. Cell service is poor.

Mazama Village Campground – Area Recreation

The main attraction is visiting the spectacular Crater Lake. Hiking and photography are amazing. Other outdoor recreation in the area includes backpacking, hiking, fishing, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.  There’s also some nice exhibits at the visitor center and evening ranger programs at the amphitheater.

Other campgrounds in the area include Rogue Elk, Farewell Bend, Hamaker and Lost Creek (Crater Lake).
