Chau Ram County Park Overview

Chau Ram County Park is located at the confluence of Ramsey Creek and the Chauga River. It has 26 campsites with water and electricity and 8 tent campsites.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers and a dump station. There are also over three miles of hiking trails and over a mile of the Chauga River running through the park with rapids such as the pump house rapids, can-opener and the V rapid. The main attractions of the park include a handicap accessible 40 foot waterfall cascading over large boulders as the Ramsey Creek flows into the Chauga River. Visitors can also walk over a 160 foot suspension bridge spanning the Chauga River.

Other outdoor activities include tubing, hiking, fishing, picnicking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The park also includes four rental areas for larger parties and gatherings, a new playground area, and is a favorite site for weddings.
