Rushing Creek Overview

Rushing Creek campground has 56 sites single-family campsites in a heavily forested area is on the eastern shore of Kentucky Lake. All sites are first-come first-served.

There are actually two campground areas, one on the banks of Rushing Creek and the other on Jones Creek. There are 18 tent sites and 38 tent/RV sites with no hook-ups.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grate. The campground is open year round. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, showers and trash collection.  The Jones Creek Boat Ramp is about a mile away just across the TN/KY border.

The nearest RV dump stations are located at Piney Campground in Dover, TN, or the Golden Pond Visitor Center Dump Station just across the line in Kentucky.

Rushing Creek Campground – Area Recreation

The area offers a variety of outdoor recreation including boating, canoeing, kayaking, water-skiing, fishing, wildlife viewing, hiking, biking and many more activities. The variety of trees also provide an excellent display of color in the fall.
