Watauga Dam Comments & Reviews

12 was our first campsite with grassy area to the river, about 20 from our camper. Had trees for shade on both sides of the gravel driveway. The bathrooms were up a flight of stairs about 15′ from our driveway and then about 3o or 40 ft walk to the building . Clean, maintained and hot water. We caught trout every day from the river bank and our 16′ jon boat. The next site was 25 right behind the office and down near the rivers edge. Not the grassy area at this site at the rivers edge but up a slight hill above our driveway, but with a tree for shade. A little road between us and the river with a line of brush, so not quite as nice as the other site, but a little more room between campsites. Further to walk to the bathrooms and up a hill. Will be going back we loved it!
