Willis Creek Overview
Willis Creek (Park) Campground has 28 spacious campsites (all with 30-amp electric and water hookups) located next to Lake Granger. Four of the sites also have sewer hookups. There are also 5 equestrian/primitive campsites (further away from the lake) and 1 group site.
The campground is open year round. Amenities include water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, a dump station and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is good in the area. There’s also a boat ramp and trailer lot near the campground.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site has water & electric hookups, a parking spur (up to 50 feet), table, fire ring and grill. The group campsite fits 50 people and is equipped with water and 20 amp electric. No RV hookups are available at the group shelter.
Willis Creek Campground – Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, water sports, swimming, horseback riding, hiking and picnicking.
Other campgrounds in the area include Taylor, Wilson H. Fox and Friendship Park.

Willis Creek Corps of Engineer Park is in the jurisdiction of US Congressman John Carter of Texas. The bathrooms are in serious need of up-grade and re-model. The bathrooms stink and showers do not work properly. This has been like that for at least a decade, 10 years. One would thing that as a US Congress man Carter would be concerned about this US Government recreation park paid for by the US taxpayers.
