Big Bend Overview

Big Bend Campground is located along the Colorado river in a beautiful red rock canyon about 8 miles up river from Moab. The campground has 20 spacious campsites and 4 group sites, but most sites can accommodate larger groups. The single-family campsites are first-come first-served, Big Bend Group Sites are reservable.

The campground has potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Hookups are not available. The area is popular and the campground will likely fill up on the weekends.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes rafting, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, mountain biking, climbing, horseback riding, OHVing and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also happening here! Be sure to check out the Window Rock and Canyon Rim Trails that lead to stunning vistas of red rock spires.

Other campgrounds in the area include Upper Big Bend, Hal Canyon, Goose Island, Grandstaff, Drinks Canyon and Oak Grove.
