Jordanelle State Park Overview

Jordanelle State Park offers premier camping areas on the west side of Jordanelle Reservoir in the Hailstone Recreation Area and more primitive camping along the Provo River in the Rock Cliff Recreation Area.

Hailstone Recreation Area Camping

The Hailstone Rec. area has 86 sites with water & electric hookups, 67 tent only sites, 1 group site, 5 cabins and 1 cottage.  Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Camp roads and parking spurs are paved.

Park/campground amenities include drinking water, flush & vault toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection and a dump station. There’s also a marina, boat ramp, boat trailer lot, amphitheater, camp store, group pavilion, picnic areas, swim beach, visitor center, event center, gift shop and museum. Cell service is good in the area.

Rock Cliff Recreation Area Camping

The Rock Cliff area has a few camping areas including Rock View, Riverbend, Aspen Grove and Upland Meadow. These are all located near the Provo River and there are a total of 51 campsites. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers and trash collection. There’s also a nature center, group picnic pavilion and overflow parking. A small boat ramp is also located near the area.

You might also like Wasatch Mountain State Park (15 miles away) or Deer Creek State Park (20 miles away).

Jordanelle State Park – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, sailing, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The marina also has a variety of boats and watercraft for rent. The resort town of Park City is also just 9 miles away.
