Shady Dell Overview

Shady Dell Campground is located in the beautiful Unita Mountains and has 20 spacious campsites in a forested area next to the Lower Provo River.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Hookups are not available. Parking spurs are paved and range in size from 34 to 90 feet. Campsite #20 is a double site (up to 16 people), and all the rest are single-family campsites (up to 8 people). Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.

The campground is generally open mid May to mid September. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Soapstone, Cobblerest and Duchesne Tunnel (dispersed camping). Iron Mine campground is also about 34 miles away.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, ATV trail riding, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
