Superbowl Group Site Campground Bears Ears National Monument Utah

Superbowl Group Site Overview

Superbowl Group Site View 2

Superbowl Group Site is on the banks of Indian Creek and has 1 campsite that can accommodate up to 10 vehicles and 30 people. It is a great basecamp to explore and have fun in the Indian Creek area of Bears Ears National Monument.  It is also next to Superbowl Campground which has 37 first-come, first-serve campsites available.

Creek flow is intermittent, and except for spring or immediately after precipitation, the creek bed is typically dry. Cottonwood trees line the banks of the creek and provide shade at some campsites.

The campground is open year round and is located south off the Needles Highway (accessed from Utah State Route 211), approximately 6.5 miles southeast of Canyonlands National Park and 13.5 miles northwest of Newspaper Rock.

Amenities include vault toilets. Drinking water or trash collection are not available.  Covered tables, fire rings and grills are also available.  Cell coverage is not available in the area.

You might also like Creek Pasture, Hamburger Rock Campground or Canyonlands National Park Needles District Campground.

Superbowl Campground – Area Recreation

The Indian Creek area of Bears Ears National Monument opens to a broad valley rimmed by Wingate Sandstone cliffs known for world-class rock climbing. Prominent geologic features include Lavender Mesa, Bridger Jack Mesa, and North and South Six Shooter Peaks. This spectacular setting and rich archeological resources provide visitors with recreational opportunities such as rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, scenic photography, and off-highway vehicle (OHV) touring on designated routes. Wildlife viewing can also be great and stargazing is the bomb.
