Yankee Meadow Campground Dixie National Forest Utah

Yankee Meadow Overview

Yankee Meadow Campground has 30 campsites and is located in the Dixie National Forest about 1.5 miles from Yankee Meadow Reservoir.  This high-altitude campground (8,500 ft.) feels more like the high-desert due to the lack of trees (burned).  The scenery is fantastic at the lake with towering volcanic cliffs of Sydney Peaks rising in the distance.

There are 24 single family sites, 3 double-family sites (8, 11 and 21), and 3 groups sites (A-B-C). The single family sits can have up to 8 people and the double sites up to 16 people. Group site A can have 40 people and group sites B and C up to 30 people.

The seasonal campground is generally open late May to mid September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water and vault toilets. Trash services are not provided (please pack everything in and out). Firewood is available to purchase from the friendly camp host. Cell service is not available. Each campsite also has a gravel parking spur, table, tent pad fire ring and grill.
