Sherando Lake Overview

Sherando Lake Campground has 66 single-family campsites and is located on the shores of between Sherando Lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Group camping is also available.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Meadow Loop (C) has electric hookups for larger campers. River Bend Loop (B) is first-come, first-serve (no reservations). White Oak Loop (A) as non-electric campsites for tents and trailers/RVs less than 28 feet.

Campground amenities include drinking water (spigots), flush toilets and hot showers.  There’s also a dump station, picnic area, playground and boat ramp. Each campsite also has a parkng spur, table, lantern post, fire ring and grill.

The George Washington National Forest and offers an ideal family camping destination and spectacular scenery. Outdoor recreation activities include boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing
