Steamboat Rock State Park Overview
Steamboat Rock State Park campground has 162 campsites and is located along the shores of Banks Lake in a desert area of northeastern Washington. The campground has three loop/camping areas and includes campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. Primitive and equestrian campsites are also available.
There are 136 full hookup sites. Reservations area available mid May to mid September and can be made 9 months prior to day of arrival.
The campsites, are first-come, first-served other times of the year. Each campsite also has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grate.
Campground amenities include a camp store, potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, hot-water showers ($), trash collection (dumpsters) and an RV dump station. There’s also a visitor center, playground, marina and boat launch ramp available. Non-reservable boat-in campsites have water and vault toilets.
Steamboat Rock State Park Area Recreation
Outdoor recreation includes boating, fishing, water sports, swimming, mountain biking, hiking, basketball, volleyball, rock climbing, horseback riding and wildlife viewing to name a few. There’s also plenty to do in the winter including ice fishing, ice climbing, snowshoeing and nordic skiing.
