Merrick State Park Overview

Merrick State Park Campground is located next to the beautiful backwaters (Fountain City Bay) of the Mississippi River and has 65 single-family campsites. Group camping is also available (up to 50 people / tent only).

Then north campground has 25 sites (22 with electric hookups), water, flush toilets, showers and trash collection. The south campground has 35 campsites (28 waterfront), water, restrooms and trash collection. Overflow parking is also available in the South Campground. Island Campground has group camping and walk-to (tent-only) camping. An RV sanitation dump station is also located near the park entrance.

Other amenities include a canoe launch, firewood sales, picnic shelter and boat landing.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
