Oak Knoll Campground – Palomar Mountain RV Park Overview

Oak Knoll Campground is conveniently set off California State Highway 76, about six miles from the amazing Palomar Mountain Observatory. The park is open year-round, making this a fabulous spot for Snow Birds and campers hoping to escape the northern cold.

Campsites are set among beautiful oak trees and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. All have electric hookups and some have full hookups available. A glamping tent and cabins are also available to rent. Amenities include a camp store (snacks, firewood and ice), drinking water, flush toilets, showers laundry facilities, trash collection and Wifi. The park also has video arcade games, billiards, board games & a new playground for the kids and a swimming pool.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, mountain biking, fishing, picnicking, stargazing, swimming and wildlife viewing.

Oak Knoll Campground is also close to five major casinos and is also a great place to view the Milky Way or watch for UFOs. “The campground is world famous for being the spot where the first documented UFO encounter took place.”
