  1. Courtney says:

I reserved site 023 (advertised as a “DOUBLE” camp site for 12 people) for a pre-wedding celebration, since COVID ruined all of my fun.

When I arrived, I thought there was a mistake, as we could not fit more than one medium tent in the actual site. Thorny blackberry bushes completely surrounded the site. And the fire pit area would not have fit 12 people since one side was surrounded by blackberries. I had to place the second tent on the parking pad.

Half of my group was set to arrive the next day, but I had to drive into cell service and ask them not to come.

No host on site, no cell service, and nowhere to go for information or questions.

Recreation.gov refuses to issue a partial refund because the “facility” will not admit the site is not fit for double occupancy.

The camp itself is beautiful, and other single sites were much bigger than our “double” (see site 10), but I would never go back after the way I have been treated trying to make it right. My claim has been denied 4 times, and now I am being told that I have to speak to the facility at 503-630-5721 (which said the number is not taking calls… hmm.)

I have photos and videos as proof of how small site 023 is, but they are not interested in proof or righting the wrong.

    Its a real shame.

  2. We will be staying at camp creek in a few weeks and am seeing conflicting information about the “nearby” rv dump station. Does anyone know where this mysterious dump station is? Or, if it even exists?
