Plumas Eureka State Park is located in the western Sierra Nevada mountain range of Northern California about 66.72 miles north of the Lake Tahoe area. The campground has 70 campsites and is open from mid-May through the end of September, but the park is open year-round! The campground has flush toilets, showers, drinking water and a dump station.
Fishing is quite a popular activity due to Jamison Creek which flows through the campground and can yield the occasional trout. Visitors are also encouraged to take advantage of the alpine lakes and streams that are within a short drive or hike from the campground.
Additional activities include, checking out the visitor center, museum and a historic gold mining area.
