DeMotte Campground Kaibab National Forest Arizona

DeMotte Overview

DeMotte 026

DeMotte Campground has 38 campsites and is located within the North Kaibab Ranger District just 7 miles north of the entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park’s North Rim. The campground is also a good alternative if the North Rim Campground is full.

DeMotte Campground is set up in two loops (A&B) and overlooks a nice meadow/open area where Bisons sometimes roam. ┬áThe campground has drinking water and vault toilets. Each campsite has a table, lantern post, fire ring and grate. There’s also a store close to the campground. And firewood is for sale from the campground host.

Outdoor recreation includes mountain biking, hiking, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Jacob Lake Campground is 37 miles to the north via Highway 67. It has 51 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs.
