Bandido Group Overview

Bandido Group Campground has 5 group sites set among large Jeffrey pine trees in a quiet and pretty area of Angeles National Forest.  The well-maintained campground is designed for equestrian campers and is usually open late March to mid November.

Campsite Capacity:

#1:  12 people and 4 vehicles
#2:  60 people and 20 vehicles
#3:  30 people and 10 vehicles
#4:  18 people and 6 vehicles
#5:  30 people and 10 vehicles

Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection.  Water is not available. Horse corrals and hitching posts are also available throughout the campground. Each campsite has a table, fire ring, grill, food storage locker and parking area for large vehicles (up t0 40 feet).

Bandido Group Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, stargazing and wildlife viewing.  Several trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding can be accessed from the campground. This includes a connector trail to the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). The PCT also stretches from Mexico all the way north to Canada.

Other campgrounds in the area include Horse Flats Campground, Meadow Group Campground and Chilao Campground.
