Boca Overview

Boca 012

Boca Campground has 27 single-family campsites and is located on the western shore of Boca Reservoir in the Tahoe National Forest. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Four of the sites are tent-only. Jeffrey pine and fir trees provide shade to most campsites. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate.

Campground amenities include vault toilets. There is no drinking water. There’s also picnic areas and a boat ramp nearby. Cell service is fair in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Boca Rest (2 miles), Boca Spring (2 miles), Boyington Mill (3 miles), Prosser Family (3 miles),  Lakeside-Truckee (4 miles), Logger (5 miles) and Alpine Meadow (5 miles).

Boca – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation activities include boating, fishing, fly fishing, canoeing, kayaking,  swimming, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. This historic town of Truckee is also 15 minutes away and offers shops, restaurants and places to visit. The Little Truckee River is also nearby and has some of Northern California’s best catch-and-release fly fishing. For the history buffs, the Townsite Interpretive Trail showcases the historic town as it transitioned from a railroad construction camp to a bill and ice company.
