Eagle Campground Lassen National Forest California

Eagle Overview

Eagle Campground is a 52-site campground in the Lassen National Forest. Eagle Lake is also directly next to the campground. There are 30 reservable sites, 20 walk in sites, as well as 2 small group sites. The campground can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs. For sites that can accommodate trailers and RVs, the maximum spur length varies between 35ft-60ft. There are 2 sites that have full electric and water hook-ups. For tent sites, you can have 2 vehicles (additional fee for 2nd vehicle) with a maximum length of 20ft. All sites can accommodate up to 8 guests and 2 vehicles. The 2 small group sites can accommodate up to 16 guests as well as 4 vehicles, including RVs. There is plenty of shade at the sites from pine and fir trees.

Amenities at this campground include parking spurs, picnic tables, as well as campfire rings and grills. Also, there is drinking water, flush toilets, and fire pits. There is a RV dump station 2.5 miles away that you can use for a fee. Eagle is also the closest campground to the Eagle Lake Marina and boat launch. The marina store has gas, propane, fishing and camping supplies. Shower and laundry facilities are also available. Cell service is very poor. Each site allows for 2 pets which must be on leash at all times.

The campground is open from mid May to late October. First come, first served season is from early September until late October.

Eagle – Area & Recreation

Eagle Lake is where the Cascade mountains meet the Sierras. This offers a variety of streams, lakes, and trails. There are many popular activities to enjoy including hiking, biking, and OHVing. The lake makes all sorts of water sports possible. Also, fishing for rainbow trout is very popular on the lake. The Lassen Volcanic National Park is also about 1.5 hours away making it a great idea for a day trip.

Other campgrounds in the area include Merrill, Christie, Aspen Grove, and Pine Ridge.
