Elam Campground Lassen National Forest California
Elam Overview
Elam Campground has 12 campsites and is located in an old growth forest right along beautiful Deer Creek in Lassen National Forest. All sites are first-come, first-served. The peaceful campground is popular with anglers.
Campsites are best suited for tent camping but a few sites are okay for smaller trailers and RVs. Sites 8 to 12 are creekside. Campground roads and parking spurs are paved. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.
The campground is generally open late April to late September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is not available.
Elam Campground – Area Recreation and Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Stargazing is also great on clear nights.
Other campgrounds in the area include Alder Creek, Gurnsey Creek and Willow Spring.
