Eshom Campground Sequoia National Forest California

Eshom Overview

Eshom campground is a 17-site campground in the Sequoia National Forest. It is also part of the Sierra Nevadas. The campground has a west and an east section. The west section provides easy access to Eshom Creek while the east section is more rustic. All sites allow for tent camping. 13 of the sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 30ft. However, RVs and trailers over 25ft might have a difficult time maneuvering around sharp turns. There are 11 sites that allow for 6 guests and 6 sites that allow for 12 guests. Also, sites can accommodate 1 vehicle as well as additional vehicles for an extra $8 fee. The campground has a lot of shade from plenty of pines and sequoias. The campground is open from late May to late September.

Amenities at Eshom campground include drinking water, trash collection, as well as vault toilets. There are also fire pits, grills, and picnic tables. There is some cell service if using verizon, but almost none if using another carrier. Also, all sites allow pets. The closest dump station to Eshom campground is at Sequoia Resort & RV Park (17mi southwest). Other options include Sequoia RV Park (23mi west) and Sequoia RV Ranch (42mi south).

Do not follow GPS directions down Forest Road 14S45. The road is not paved and requires high clearance. It can also be impassable in some areas. Also, there are a number of very large berms on the main drive heading into the campground, so drive carefully.
