Fowlers Overview
Fowlers Campground is a beautiful campground located on the Upper McCloud River on the east side of Mt. Shasta. The campground 39 campsites for RVs, trailers and tents. Two campsites are ‘double’ sites. All of the parking spurs are paved and many sites will fit large RVs. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring/grill and food storage locker. The campground also has drinking water and vault toilets. Campsites are reservable from about mid April through mid October, and then first-come first-serve through mid November when it closes.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, swimming, biking, hiking and wildlife viewing. There are three spectacular waterfalls (the Lower, Middle and Upper Falls), within hiking distance from the campground. And you’ll be sure to see an abundance of wildlife in and around the campground.
Cattle Camp (campground) is just 6 miles away and also located next to the Upper McCloud River.

is fowlers open can you use a propane stove to cook on?? or butane we are really to go to oregon but if cant cook cant go please advise we have fire extengure and are older not young party people

Fowlers Campground is temporarily closed due to the extreme fire conditions.

on my recreation.gov webpage it says it is open, but full fire restrictions in place. Is this correct? Thank you.

Yes, Fowlers campgrounds is open, but no fires of any kind are allowed:
Current Fire Restictions prohibit the use of all fire sources to include campfires, gas stoves and lanterns, and BBQs.

Are you allowed to have campfires at Fowler campground

It appears that there are no fire restrictions at this time for Fowlers campground. All fires must be in the campsite fire ring though. You can check the USFS website for updates: https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/stnf/recarea/?recid=6583
