Moore Creek (Eldorado) Overview

Moore Creek Campground has 14 first-come, first-serve campsites and is located along the Mokelumne River in the Eldorado National Forest. Moore Creek is also nearby.

The campground is generally open early June to mid-October. Amenities include vault toilets. Piped (drinking) water is not available, but you can filter from the river. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and small RVs.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, mountain biking, hiking, hunting, horseback riding, OHV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. There’s also a few nice swim holes in the area.

Mokelumne River (13 sites) and White Azalea (6 sites) campgrounds are also nearby.
