Patrick Creek Overview

Patrick Creek Campground has 13 campsites and is next to the confluence of Patrick Creek and the middle fork of the Smith River in Six Rivers National Forest.

This campground allows for RV, trailer, as well as tent camping. Each site can have up to 8 guests and 2 vehicles. However, the 2nd vehicle requires and extra nightly fee. The max vehicle length at each site ranges from 30ft-45ft. There are plenty of Douglas Fir trees that provide full shade for the sites. Also, Patrick Creek is pet friendly. There is no cell service here. This campground is open from mid May to mid September.

Amenities at Patrick Creek Campground include picnic tables, campfire rings, as well as grills. In addition, there area also flush toilets and drinking water. However, there is a temporary water outage at the campground currently. Due to the water outage, you must bring all the water you will need for your stay. The closest dump station options are Redwood Meadows RV Resort (16.5mi west) and Shoreline RV Park (27mi west).

Patrick Creek Campground – Area & Recreation

There are lots of activities at Patrick Creek and in the surrounding area. Some of the more popular options are swimming, sunbathing, rafting, as well as fishing in the Smith River. Anglers can expect healthy fishing populations of salmon, steelhead and cutthroat trout. Guests also enjoy hiking, horseback riding, and biking in the area. However, there are no trailheads in the campground. Some fun trails that are within 10 miles of the campground include Elk Camp Ridge, High Dome, as well as French Hill.

There are also cool sites to see nearby too. The Patrick Creek Historic Lodge is a great historic place to visit. Crescent City is also only 35mins away. Here you can take a day trip to see the Pacific Ocean, the Lake Earl Wildlife Area, as well as the Castle Rock National Wildlife Refuge.

Other campgrounds nearby that you might like are Shelly Creek, Grassy Flat, Panther Flat, Elk Creek & RV Park, and Anglers Cove.
