White Wolf Overview
White Wolf campground has 74 single-family campsites and is located in Yosemite National Park off Highway 120, about one hour north of Yosemite Valley. The White Wolf Resort is also next to the campground. Campsites 41-43 are designated for backpackers (permit required).
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers (up to 27 feet) and RVs (up to 24 feet). Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker (35″ deep x 43″ wide x 28″ high), fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water and flush toilets. Cell service is not available. A small grocery store is also located at Crane Flat (11 miles).
White Wolf – Area Recreation
Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, backpacking, picnicking, fishing, photography, mountain biking and wildlife viewing. The Middle Tuolumne River is less than 1/2 mile from the campground.
Other Yosemite campgrounds in the area include Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite Creek and Porcupine Flat.

Hi John,
Good question! Just checked and although the NPS page indicates it may open this July (2022), there is not an update on an exact date. Also, this campground may be transitioning to reservable campsites (instead of first-come, first-serve).

I secured a spot at white wolf. It is number #27. My wife is worried there might not be enough space for two tents and two cars.
I was wondering if you know whether spot 27 has enough room for 2 tents and 2 cars? It seems to be sandwiched between two other spots

Hi, I got campsite #72 at White Wolf campground in Yosemite. My tent is 15×12, do you think it will fit in campsite #72 or will I have to buy a smaller tent? Thanks for your help!
