Father Dyer Overview

Father Dyer Campground has 27 campsites (23 reservable) and is located in a lodgepole point forest near the eastern shore of Turquoise Lake.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Trailers & RVs are not permitted to fill tanks at the campground. Check in is 2pm and check out is 12pm. Quiet time is 10pm to 6am. The campground is generally open late May to first Tuesday after Labor Day. Cell service is fair in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, water sports, swimming, mountain biking, hiking, hunting and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also nice in the area. A foot trail to the lake is located between campsites #16 and #17.

Other campgrounds in the area include Tabor, Belle of Colorado, Baby Doe, Printer Boy, May QueenMolly Brown, Matchless and Silver Dollar.
